City Councilman Rob Krupicka will kick off his campaign for a second term with a party that will double as a winter carnival, featuring moon bounces, live music, kids games and prizes, food from St. Elmo?s Café, a cake walk and drawings for gift certificates to local shops and restaurants.
The event will be held on Sunday, January 22, 2006 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Mount Vernon Recreation Center, at 2701 Commonwealth Avenue. All are welcome.
Alexandria?s elections for City Council are held every three years. The Democratic caucus to decide the Democratic slate of candidates for the upcoming term will be held on February 4, 2006 at the Lee Center in Alexandria, at 1108 Jefferson Street from Noon to 7:30 p.m.. The general election is on May 2, 2006.
